Casual Heaven

Ok, for those who have had the time to indulge in my latest choker monologue, I'm going to save you some time and lay it out nice and simple.
(Those who missed it catch up here)

Choker + White Tee + Jeans = Casual Heaven

If you opt for simplicity yet need that little kick in your outfit, you know what to do: Insert choker.
To emphasise it even more? Low bun. Blue jeans, belted, shades on and ready to roll.

Case File: The Choker

It's a neck candy that we've been seeing in fashion weeks, fashion parties, coveted festivals (a.k.a. Coachella), on the streets, in the clubs, yes -everywhere. The choker.
Taylor called it the next flower crown at Coachella, Alexa pronounced it dead. So today I've come to present to you, the eyes of the jury, the case of The Choker. Yay? or Nay?

I've got to say, for me it's still a yay. Yes, it's something that, as above mentioned, you see a lot but that doesn't stop it from being a kick-ass way of changing up an outfit, adding that little something, putting that cherry on that cake or that simple tee as a matter of fact. It's easy, quick, cheap and adds a bit of a sexy edge. Just grab a black ribbon and tie it on your neck.

Case to the contrary, it is one of those accessories that at a certain point will cross the threshold and go from in to out. I guess it depends on the person, whether you've reached that point where you got sick of seeing/wearing it or not. And when the majority does reach that point, it will go into the "oh remember when chokers used to be in fashion?" section.
Until then it's a yay all the way.

Leather and Fishnet Vol. II

Preppy in fishnet and leather. Could this be?
Lets see. We've got a leather skirt w/ silver hardware and fishnet add a grey turtle-neck to tone it down...and lets pull that hair up into a ponytail. Ok we are getting there...add a small elegant handbag and some pointy ankle boots.
What do you think?

The Red Element Vol. III

Ok so red found another way to sneak into my wardrobe. This time it's small, cross body, with silver hardware and it goes with EVERYTHING -well ok it's not that surprising when 99.9 % of your winter wardrobe is black, white, grey or striped. Case to the point, this black and stripe outfit. Faux fur in black, skinny jeans in black, pointy boots in -what else- black, and striped top which looks like off-white vs. black but to my defence it's actually a weird grey-ish dark blue. At this point I would like to note a VERY important element of this outfit, this black suede belt that refuses to leave my waist naked since it stepped foot in my wardrobe -take my Instagram feed as a testimony for this.
Everything said, it all comes down to this; the red element, whose boldness no-one can deny and whose straight-in-your-face attitude no black (or striped) outfit can resist.

Haven't seen The Red Element episodes 1 and 2? Catch up here.
